Mommy woke up on December 11th to a lot of cheers from lots of children and a smiling husband. Happy Birthday to the most amazing person in the entire world!J.T. was dressed in her best Princess outfit to
welcome Mommy to a new year of youth!

We are a little late in posting this one since it was taken around Halloween but we think that the cuteness of our two little Halloween Princesses far outweighs our tardiness!Both L.C. & J.T. look adorable and their big, beautiful blue eyes really stood out with the pop of yellow from the mum and the black shirts. C & T were proud to have Uncle Tom and Aunt Theresa come for Grandparents Day at the Primary School. The other two sets of Grandparents were out of state (Mimi & Poppy actually out of country!). Our family is very blessed to have wonderful friends like Tom & Theresa!

Royal Night Out

Last night was our annual visit to A Royal Night Out.

The girls dressed as Princesses this year and C.M. was a knight. The girls were excited because they got to wear their Snow White costumes.

Even though this was a couple days before the event, J.T. LOVES her Snow White outfit and wears it out...while wearing herself out!
But no worries...her glass slippers are close by...just in case!

Even though C.M. and J.T. show each other a lot of "tough love" they often times make us smile for moments like this.
A little movie watching and some sisterly love never hurts anyone!

Of course, both are pretty tired...so it could be that J.T. is using C.M. as a prop

...but we will just chalk up this moment to love...hehe

Let Christmas Shopping Begin!

Now that Halloween is behind us...barely...all focus is now on Christmas 2011!The girls are spending lots of time looking at catalogs and picking out Princess, Fairy, and ALL things Disney in hopes that their names are on Santa's Nice List!

Everyone was super excited about Halloween! A time for dressing up but more importantly a time for CANDY!!!
The girls loved their skeleton ballerina costumes almost as much as they love each other...hehe!

C.M. went as a spider. His first trip out of the house for Trick or Treating. Although he was a rookie, he did quite well.

I.C. was a military doctor with an authentic uniform...left behind by Doc Chauvin when they moved. He looked very good in it!

The day started with some face painting at school. C.H. gets a little lion make over!

Later, he donned some camo and went around as a S.W.A.T. member....a little over zealous on the knife here but still looked good! T.H. was a Ninja Assassin with a friend from school. The three roamed the neighborhood and scored some really large loads of candy!

Here they are next door. Our neighber really goes all out on Halloween and turns her garage into a really cool Halloween experience. Well worth seeing...and oh yeah...she has lots of good candy too!

Dads & Me Cub Scout Weekend

Daddy & T.H. & C.H. took a trip to the Cub Scout Camp in Damascus for an overnight camping trip and to have some fun!
The boys were able to spend time on the archery range...

...and showed off their skills!

We also had fun on the BB Range!

There were arts & crafts too...

...and the boys designed their own frog puppets.

Fished quite a bit! There was a really nice lake right next to our camp site and we spent a lot of time trying to catch bass & perch.

Leave it to the boys to find lizards and other "wild animals" no matter where we go. Here, C.H. has nabbed a lizard that was crawling around our camp site. At the Tradin' Post, the boys wanted walking sticks...which were a big hit with the Scouts...so Daddy obliged and purchased the two biggest for his favorite Cub Scouts!

The tent was nice and big...with cots and much needed insulated sleeping bags. It got really cold at night!

We had lots of space and T.H. was ready and willing to stand guard with his walking stick to protect us from all the real "wild animals" that might be around.

In the morning, it was very chilly and steam was rising off the lake. It made for a very pretty picture of the mountain in the back ground.

CM Turns 2!!!

C.M. turned 2...and we can't beleive it! He had several visitors come to wish him well. The first was F.B., a friend from a couple houses down. He made a card for C.M. and hand delivered it!

After the outside delivery...the birthday moved inside to get his present from the Dails. He might not know yet what money is but he sure did like playing with it!

AETN Family Fun Day

AETN had their Family Fun Day which involved lunch, games, goodies, and a meet-n-greet with the characters. We loaded up and had a great time eating hot dogs and chips!

Some had "fancier" hot dogs than others. I.C. enjoyed a little relish on his. The others either had theirs plain or with ketchup (not all got a chocie...haha!).

The girls had a blast...trying to figure out the best way to swipe Clifford without anyone seeing them!

CH & TH celebrated birthday number 8! They wanted a big, home made birthday cookie so Mommy whipped on up for them! It was big!

Uncle Mike & Aunt Sandy gave them each a dinosaur egg. Its the size of an osterich egg...you drop it in water...and watch it hatch over the course of a few days. They are hatched now and are really cool!

CH & TH turned 8 (we can't believe it!!) so they wanted to go to Silver Dollar City and take a friend so...we went!Everyone was on their best behavior and were having fun but we couldn't pass up a chance to put the boys in the stockade!

Keith Urban in Dallas!!

We went to Dallas to see Keith Urban (Lenisa's FAVORITE!!) with two friends from McKinney at the American Airlines Arena. It was a blast!! Jamie & Lenisa posing next to a picture of the man himself!
Jake Owen opened up the night and he was really good!

He had all the girls screaming and it was his 30th birthday too!

We had awesome seats! We were just left of the stage about 12 rows up. Carl (friend from McKinney) set us up big time with the best experience possible!

The stage was amazing!

Keith is pointing to a little girl in the crowd that was there for her birthday. He brought her up on stage and made a big deal about it. She was so happy and excited that she was crying! It was cute!

IC now has braces! Daddy took him to the Orthodontist this week and here is the result of lots of metal and glue. It was a fun experience, however, the thought of this being the 1st of 6 kids in braces makes Mommy & Daddy cringe! We are now accepting donations! Haha!

It is soooo hard for us to believe but 11 years ago (at...4:56 pm) IC was born into this wonderful world of ours!
To celebrate, after the Branson trip, we had his choice of pancakes and smoothies and then came the presents and cards! Mimi & Poppy had already given IC their presents last week during our visit to Mena. Gigi sent IC a card that he is ripping into in this picture.

Branson Birthday Trip!

IC is turning 11! We can't believe it either. We loaded up a friend, CM & TH and headed to Branson for a short little get away!
We stayed at Mam-Maw & Pap-Paw's condo but our big excursion was a trip to Silver Dollar City! It was really hot but we all had a blast!

First up was the Electro Spin. Mommy & CH took a pass on this one. It is rather nauseating!

CH took a ride on the Elephants. A good speed and very cool!

Even cooler...soaking passing boats on River Blast!

We "discovered" Geyser Gultch this weekend. It isn't new but we had never really gone into it before. IC & SP didn't really want to go in because they thought it was for little kids but within seconds...we all found out it was really cool! Here are some air powered nerf cannons! Daddy feeds IC's cannon while TH & CH fire by their side.

TH and CH had a great time blasting away as well!

SP got in on the action as well. These guns were all over the place!

CH was called up by the local Magician to participate in his little magic show. It was no David Copperfield but CH did a great job as an assistant and kept the crowd laughing!

We had to take a break because IC and SP got in some trouble and had to be shackled up for a while! Haha!!!

Not to be out done...the little brothers had to join in the fun!

Mommy took 3 of the boys on American Plunge while Daddy and IC went off to ride Wild Fire. They joined afterward and got very wet too!!! Felt good on a hot day though.

And of all things...CH caught a skink! It was so fast that the worker in the Petting Zoo couldn't even catch it. But CH did! He was lightning fast but CH was just a bit faster!!

The Frill is Gone!

C.M. went with his brothers to get a much needed hair cut. We LOVE his curls but it was getting a bit too long in the back and so we decided to avoid any mullet-look-a-like and do some choppin'.
He did very well. His Aunt Jac had taken him for a little snip a month or so ago so his salon experience is getting pretty old hat to him.

He still was rewarded with a sucker for his good behavior and shows off his cute little "do" with his brothers, who also had some high fashion going on as well! What a handsome bunch of boys! Look out ladies!!!

JBug goes for a follow-up MRI

Mommy took JBug to Childrens for a follow-up MRI. She has not had a seizure in over a year and we just wanted to make sure everything was still ok and she checked out great.
She was in really good spirits and enjoyed the wait...getting to color and play and do all sorts of fun stuff.

Closer to the MRI though, she started to get a little anxious and restless (not shown here...haha) but she did great...as usual.

Her MRI came back fine and we are just going on with a blessed life. We thank God for looking after our little girl and love how fun and happy she is 99% of the time. Now if we could just work on that other 1%!!! Haha!!!

Chicago...Take Two!

We went to Chicago for Chris' 40th Birthday (again...) and saw U2! This is us before the concert. We had incredible seats and incredible friends that went with us. We planned on going to U2 last year for his real 40th but Bono hurt his back and the tour was postponed. We went anyway and had a great time but when we found out when U2 rescheduled...we made our way back to the Windy City! It was awesome and the weather couldn't have been nicer. The highest we hit was 85 and hardly any humidity. Last year...it was almost 100 degrees and extremely humid!

Chris enjoyed the spot on the couch with Bob. The piece was made of metal and even though the temps were great...the sun was still out so it made the conversation brief as it felt like you were sitting on a grill.

We hopped on a water taxi and headed down to Michigan Avenue...aka...The Magnificent Mile...aka...a full mile of awesome stores for four shoppaholics to enjoy!

That night, we made it to Second City and saw "South Side of Heaven". It was a bunch of short skits by some of the most hilarious people we have seen. A lot of Second City alumni have gone on to Saturday Night Live and Hollywood fame. We expect to see some of the guys and gals in this production there one day too. They kept us laughing for almost 3 hours and was a great "last night" treat to a wonderful trip!

J.T. was the first to be brave enough to stand on Daddy's shoulders! She was really good at it and could hold her balance for a VERY long time.
She used a very firm grip with her toes and open fingers to help maintain her balance. Kind of like a monkey : )

J.T. was extremely proud of herself!

L.C. had a more rigid posture! She wasn't quite as confident in her ability to stand up but she quickly got the hang of it and then wouldn't stop climbing up just so she could fall off of Daddy's shoulders.

Thank goodness Daddy doesn't have any hair or L.C. would have used it for stability during her climb to the top!

Pap-paw Celebrates 80!

Pap-paw celebrated his 80th birthday all day and night! Daddy took his four boys and delivered some birthday balloons early in the day and then the whole O'Dwyer Family met for dinner out that night, complete with cake and ice cream : )

Boys' Weekend at Silver Dollar City

I.C. and Mom take on one of the "baby" roller coasters to get warmed up! I.C. soon realized that Mom was NOT the ideal roller coaster companion, so Dad took her place on the much more stomach-turning coasters - "Thunderation" and "Wildfire"!!!
C.H. and Mom share a ride on the giant swing. T.H. and I.C. rode solo so they could twist and spin their seats.

I.C. found a good roller coaster companion in T.H. They were real thrill seekers and rode the Powderkeg roller coaster which shoots out of a barn going 0 to 60 in nothing flat! Not even Dad could be talked into riding this one!!!

We took a break from rides long enough to watch a stunt dog show. It featured different rescue dogs that had been trained to jump, catch, and do some pretty amazing tricks! T.H. and C.H. got a squeeze before the show from the mascot, Diggy : )

All four of the boys challenge their strength and try to stop the perpetual ball from rolling. They succeeded, at least for a couple of seconds! It was a wonderful 3-day weekend with just the boys : )

I.C. Brings Home the Gold!

I.C. attended the Corliss Williamson basketball camp at UCA. He trained and practiced with about 50 other boys in 4th-9th grade. I.C. had a successful week and came home with 2 trophies - 3 on 3 champs and 5 on 5 champs!!! He also made a free throw shot to help his team win a tied game : )

Trip to Branson to see Dora & Diego!

We made a trip to Branson for a long weekend. Silver Dollar City kicked off KidsFest with Dora & Diego. We had to take the little ones since they LOVE Dora & Diego!!

But the girls do think the Teddy Bear would make a great addition to their room as well!

And the reason we came! DORA & DIEGO!!! L.C. was a little freaked out by the size of Dora & Diego even though they are her favorite characters in the world. We don't blame her though. They are quite a bit bigger in real life than they are on our t.v.s at home! J.T. was all smiles and couldn't get enough of her new friends. C.M. liked them as well, however, he was still wondering how to sneak that big Teddy Bear out and as you can see from this photo...he was sizing Dora & Diego up. He knew he could outrun them if needed!!

OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE SPECTRUM: After meeting Dora & Diego, L.C. was happy...mainly because she wasn't freaked out any longer. J.T. was sad...mainly because she wanted to stay and hang out with Dora & Diego! Hehe...both had a great time and were happy to meet their old friends.

Half Dollar Holler had a lot to keep you entertained. J.T. & L.C. took a spin on Lil' Swings. J.C. couldn't wait for the ride to start but L.C. was a little leary at first.

L.C. took her time examining the engineering of Lil' Swings making sure it was safe for her and her sister to ride. After it started moving, both L.C. and J.T. loved it and were calling for it to go faster and faster! They liked it so much they rode it twice in a row!

We had a couple of our wonderful babysitters with us and they had a good time as well...even though they had to spend a little time in the stockade! Just kidding...they were great, as usual, and we want to say a special thanks to M.M. & C.D.!!!

The "gang" on the train...it was a welcomed relief as it was getting late in the day and everyone needed a little 20 minute train ride to rest and relax!

J.T. wouldn't sit on anyone's lap other than Daddys. As you can see from her finger sucking...she was on a downward slide to Meltdownsville! Haha.

The girls attended a Pretty Princess birthday party for a friend from school. They were excited to show off their Snow White dresses and were super pumped about playing with their friends from school.

The Zoo Comes to Daycare!

The zoo came to visit at daycare and brought along some interesting animals - iguana, ferret, parrot, hissing cockroach, and turtle. J.T. was more than happy to pet the iguana without any hesitation! She's an animal lover like her older brother, C.H. Notice that L.C. is cautiously peering over the shoulder of one of her classmates in case the iguana decides to make a break for it! She DOES NOT like animals : )

T.H. and C.H. participated in a reading program at school that benefitted Heifer Project International for each book they read during the school year.
They were both awarded certificates during the end-of-year school awards assembly. Every child that read at least 25 books had their name put on a pepperoni for the big "Read to Feed" piece of pizza.

Mother's Day Trip to the Zoo

C.H. & T.H. had a friend's birthday party at the LR Zoo so the rest of us took the opportunity to make it a family outting and celebrate Mother's Day a day early! The big Silver Back Gorilla was amazing. His head had to be a foot and a half wide! L.C. & J.T. really enjoyed "spying" on him (peeking over the railing). C.M. was a real fan...he was wearing a gorilla shirt to the zoo.
We brought the Radio Flyer wagon, which the little ones really appreciated. The LR Zoo has a lot of little hills so...Daddy "appreciated" the workout he got pulling these little monkeys around! Here everyone gets a thrill watching the penguins swim around in their new tank.

Our boys had a great time following the penguins around and seeing them dance in the water.

Our girls enjoyed it too. They were pressed up against the glass for a better look. I am sure the penguins enjoyed staring back at the wildlife on the other side of the glass!

Mommy took her turn pulling the girls around and leading the boys to the next area. We were heading to the bears at this point!

Daddy & C.M. enjoyed hanging back a bit and posing for some camera time.

Everyone enjoyed watching the otter run around.

The Grizzly Bears really were the kids favorite. There were two and they were HUGE! The claws on one had to be 8 inches long.

Good thing there was the glass wall protecting us but judging from the size of this bear...we were glad they kept their distance anyway!

Tragedy struck last night in the girls' room...Dora's Mom...drugged. Little Yellow Baby Duckie..knocked out. Signs of a struggle: birthday boa & a right flip flop laying around. Victims: L.C. & J.T. (seen here covered in the CSI trademark pink blankie) Ok...ok...this only looked suspicious but actually...this was the scene last night when we checked on the girls. They tend to have a hard time "settling down" after bedtime. They have figured out how to turn on their bedroom light and just play play play after we say prayers and do our nighttime reading. After a while...they simply pass out. Tonight...it was against the door.

Daddy had to push the door open and hold it while Mommy squeezed in to finally put the sleeping beauties to rest in their nice comfy bed. This was hilarious. We had to share!

The Dails were gracious enough to have yet another Easter Egg Hunt at their house. It has become a very nice tradition and one the kids really enjoy. Mommy leads the troops down the driveway and toward the Dails where the eggs are awaiting. C.M. & L.C. are eager to get this party started! Caroline has done a great job hiding the eggs. Sort of hard to find some that are hidden in the bushes...can you spot it?

Even the ones hidden in the grass are VERY HIDDEN!

First of all...Mommy & Daddy woke me up WAAAAY to early!

...and don't even have the decency to have a pedicure and manicure set up for me. I'm a delicate flower...how am I supposed to deal with this?!?!

This life...this life...is getting unbearable!

How ever shall I survive these...my single digit years?

HEEEY! Let ME tell you about my day so far!

First of all, I got a GREAT night's sleep and then got to come here and sit in a police car...yeah...a POLICE CAR!! and wear a penguin cover...yep...you heard me...a PENGUIN COVER!

Then I got a sucker.....FORRRRRRR FREE!

And then I met this nice lady who did my hair up right!

and then....hey....I wonder how fast I could get this thing going if I were to head down a smoothly paved road with a 45 degree angle, with the wind to my back, and no restrictor plate in place...

I wonder if the suspension on an older model like this would even hold up at that speed and under that much stress...

oh well...just a thought...hehe...look at my hair! It's the newest craze in New York, Paris, and Milan!

Spring Break 2011

This Spring Break we had a very relaxing time. We did a few things here and there and finished the week's break in Branson, including a great day at Silver Dollar City! On the way up, we stopped at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake to stretch our legs and enjoy a little fun!

L.C. thinks she can climb up the bendy ladder on the wrong side! She figured out quickly that she couldn't but sure had fun trying!

I.C. tried it too and had just as much fun!

T.H. climbed it the right way and showed off that picture perfect smirk and "I could be a model one day" look.

C.M. figures why not try the rock wall. If the other guys can do it so can I...and he did!

C.H. is about to come down the slide. He had a great time doing this by himself but even a better time escorting his sisters and littlest brother down. They loved it too!

Field Trip to Buffalo National Park

I.C., Daddy, and the Science Club went to the Buffalo National

Park this week and learned about those that settled there

and about all the caves & caverns in the area.

There are over 300 caves just in the area!

This is Chester, our guide, and he loves exploring caves.

He has been in most of them in the area and gave us a great

lesson on how they are formed, why there are so many,

and what kind of animals and others critters live in them.

This is the cave we explored. The e-mail from the teacher

gave the impression that the opening was very large and

an adult could get in rather easily...

Well, as you can see from Chester, who was about 5'9 and 180,

the entrance was not very big! It was a little over a foot high

and about 3 feet wide. We were told as we stood there we

were going to get dirty! This would scare most 10 year olds

but as you can see.....

I.C. was at the front of the line wanting to go first!

C.M. Learns to Climb!

Honors Assembly was finally held at SJP! C.H. and T.H. were

proud to pose with their certificates of achievement. C.H.

received Second Honors (all A's and B's) and T.H. received

First Honors (all A's)!!!

T.H., C.H. and their cousin (who is also in 2nd grade), all

Costa Rica Getaway

We arrived at sunset at our house and this is the view we

were greeted with. Casa Vista Magnifica was much more

amazing than any of us imagined.

85 degrees and no humidity in Potrero, Costa Rica.

Back home...32 degrees and the threat of snow!

The foyer of the house was awesome. It was a water

entrance with stepping stones that lead four different

directions. One to the front door, one to a bedroom, one

to the upstairs, and one to the open air living room & kitchen.

Bismark & Rosita lived at the house with us. They were

amazing. Rosita cooked every meal for us and it beat

any restaurant we ate at. They were both really nice and

funny. I hope we get to go back to this place someday soon!

One thing we won't miss...the grass hoppers. They were about

7 inches long and flew around the place. When they would fly at

night we mistakenly thought they were bats. They were HUGE!

Christmas 2010

A lot of family and friends gathered...

to wish CM a very Happy 1st Birthday!

It's hard to believe he is already 1!

Although he did love the attention he was getting!

And was intrigued by the birthday cupcake.

He was willing to share with his brother!

Just not too much though!

We weren't really sure if he was enjoying his cake

or painting his face for the next Razorback game!

He couldn't figure it out either.

Until the end...had to be cupcake overdose!

Air Show 2010

We took a trip to the 2010 Air Show

at the LR Air Force Base.

We met our cousins and had a great time!

CH & TH on a Mustang!

IC & one of his friends on the Mustang.

This was really cool. They had about 7 replicas
there and the boys got to watch them take
off and perform a reenactment of the attack on
Pearl Harbor with the Zeros flying by and
"dropping" bombs as the show had explotions
going off as the Zeros flew by.

They had a blast looking at all the planes

with rockets, bombs, and big guns!

This was on a C130 that was

equipped with a huge cannon...

...a super cool Gatlin Gun...

...and a smaller version of the huge cannon!

CH liked the models of the planes too!

He wanted to buy some and terrorize the

neigbhood...but they weren't for sale.

They even had a drone.
